Device recommendations

Here you will find tips on how to find the right devices for your work. We have created a simple checklist to make your choice as easy as possible.

Laptop or tablet recommendations

Hebamio works on all devices, whether Android, Apple or Windows. So you don't have to buy a high-end device.

Due to many inquiries from midwives on the subject of hardware, we would like to make a few recommendations on this page:

Important considerations when choosing a device

In general, any device with internet access is compatible with Hebamio. However, there are a few points you should consider if you want to purchase a new device:

Battery performance

Number and types of external connections (several USB connections recommended)

Fast hard disk (SSD!) for short power-on times

Screen resolution (at least 1024×768 recommended)

Whether you need the device for other purposes

Hardware requirements for online courses

Please also note the requirements of the umbrella organization regarding hardware if you are holding online courses. The following minimum equipment requirements must be met in order to use video telephony:

Camera

Screen (monitor, display, etc.):
- Screen diagonal: at least 3 inches
- If several insured persons are participating: at least 15.6 inches
- Resolution: at least 640×480 px

Bandwidth: At least 2000 kbit/s in download

Microphone

Sound reproduction unit

The aforementioned functionalities may also be fully or partially combined in one device. The electronic data transmission and the equipment must meet the standards defined in paragraph 1 and enable trouble-free communication with the insured person(s).
